The practicing of yogic exercises has been on the rise in the western world and especially in America. The hall where it is practiced may be calm with sounds only of breathing and changing of postures by practitioners. The body is supposed to bent from different angles and take some unknown shapes that are really healthy for the over all development of the body. However, there is something called power yoga which is a more advance version of the ancient yogic practice. This kind of yogic practice has also existed since early 1900′s but has gained huge popularity in recent times. The exercise is a combination of aerobics and yogic moves as most of the exercises in power yoga are inspired from the strength of the body. It was invented to draw the attention of modern people in the western world who knew yogic practices as a simple collection of exercises from the east.
The actions and practices in this version are more like dancing and motions like athletes do. It is basically meant for athletes to stay fit and healthy but with so many benefits it has been widely accepted by the general public also. Power yoga is the best way to increase the body strength and develop new skills that the body refuses to perform. It is also helpful in getting a flexible and well shaped body which is a very important requirement for athletes. The exercises are done in sessions and not all of them are done in a single session as different exercises cause different benefits.
